4 Weeks Old and Going Mobile

What a wonderful week it's been. The puppies moved out of the bedroom to their own part of the basement where they can move outside with ease. Here's this morning's shot (Fathers Day) showing a piece of how they're really enjoying each other, though still a little sleepy:

We're having a wonderful time raising our ten puppies. They are providing laughs and lots of oohs and ahs. We're now at 2 1/2 weeks and all ten are healthy and getting mobile.

The rate of growth and advancement is just phenomenal. Their eyes opened last Thursday within 8 hours of each other and it was followed on Friday with several taking their first full steps on four legs. By Sunday we saw two pups grabbing each other in play for the first time. Yesterday and today we shot these video clips. Enjoy!

6 Females & 4 Males Make Life Busy!

We've had a lot of visits from families and friends who have followed the pregnancy, and our first calls from Sante Fe have come in.

Colors range from one girl who is pure cream to a mix of apricot shades (similar to Rosie's coloring). Their fur is just starting to show the wave and curl that will become more pronounced as it grows out.

Next up, we expect their eyes to open followed closely by their ears. Then we're in for some action, and hopefully a little more sleep (for us)! Personalities will really start showing over the next few weeks as they become more mobile.

We are not advertising locally for a couple more weeks. We encourage you to make a reservation soon for these incredible companions.
